Canadian Country Music Awards | 2022 Window Mural

The Canadian Country Music Awards in Calgary in 2022 was fantastic. I was fortunate enough to participate in creating a window mural for this event. Being a resident of Calgary, I was inspired by the beautiful country atmosphere that surrounded me, the stunning Rocky Mountains, and the captivating rhythms of Canadian country music. Thus, I created a window mural showcasing these elements of Calgary's culture.

The artwork I created featured vibrant colours and breathtaking views of our surroundings. I was thrilled with how the mural turned out and delighted to receive positive feedback from the community.

Witnessing the vibrant spirit of our community made the experience even more exciting as PARK and the Canadian Country Music Association came together to enliven the streets of Calgary with a series of country music-themed art installations. These installations included six window murals and one other installation, each showcasing an artist's creative interpretation of Canadian country music.

From images of the Rockies to bucking horses, banjos, and even a tribute to the Canadian country queen, Shania Twain, these installations were the perfect backdrop for Instagram posts. Seeing how these installations brought together the community to celebrate Canadian country music was great.

The CCMA art installations were open to the public starting on September 2022

In conclusion, creating a window mural for the Canadian Country Music Awards held in Calgary allowed me to showcase my artistic skills and celebrate the culture of my community. It was an incredible experience that I will cherish for years to come.
