Sawa Local Market and Cafe Mural

The Sawa Local Market and Cafe Mural was a collaborative community project I worked on in partnership with Kiran Rai in the summer of 2021. We invited the Mount Pleasant community to participate in the project by submitting their ideas, which we incorporated into our design and helped us paint. This mural, which measures 700 sq/ft, is located at 2604 4 St NW, Calgary.

The mural design celebrates Mount Pleasant's diversity by incorporating elements of multiculturalism, such as locals supporting locals, treasure hunting, and travelling. We organized a fun event where the community came together to paint and enjoy drinks and burgers. It was a great opportunity to unite people and create lasting memories.
